The Diet for the Patients with Kidney Stone

  Recently, a lot of patients with kidney stone often ask me what food is good for their disease. Therefore, I summarize it, hope it can help the patients.
  What food do the patients can eat?
1.     Drink more water.  The first step is drinking to prevent from getting kidney stone. (Maybe just the only one step can help you). We need drink six to eight cups of 240ml cup. We also can drink some beverage without caffeine or alcohol.
2.     Intaking more  dairy product. About 90%  stones’ ingredient are calcium and oxalate. Consumption of dairy products can reduce the risk of  getting kidney stones. Because the calcium can help our body clean the other things which is easy to form kidney stones. While, if you have kidney stone, you’d better to consult your doctor how much calcium can you intake?
3.     Intaking  more Vitamin A. Vitamin A is necessary to keep the health of  the whole urinary tract.  A lot of  food is rich in vitamin A, such as sweet potato, pumpkin,  broccoli and carrot.  Don’t take too much vitamin. If we take too much vitamin one time, our body can’t discharge it, which will damage our health.
4.     Intaking Vitamin B. vitamin B6 can reduce the oxalate and prevent from getting kidney stone.  When we intake vitamin B6, don’t intake more than 25mg per day.
  In addition,  jogging  one hour or walking over 3 hours a week  can help us reduce the risk of getting kidney stone about 31%. Even doing some housework also is effective.
  As far as possible to reduce to eat sour pickled cabbage, why?
  Because sour pickled cabbage contain high acidity. After eating, it is not easy to discharge it from our body, on the contrary, our body will absorb it. The oxalate in our body walk to our kidneys, our kidney can discharge the calcium oxalate crystal which is  likely to deposit and form kidney stone or other lithangiuria.
  In the process of  pickling sauerkraut, vitamin C will be damaged.  Besides, the sour pickled cabbage contains nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, oxalic acid and other organic acids, it will form the whole alimentary canal after eating acidic environment, which will reduce the absorbing for other vegetables.
If our body is lack of vitamin C, the ability will become lower than before to reduce kidney stone. Thus, it greatly increase the factors to form the stone, so don’t  take sour pickled cabbage for long-term.
